Recording is all wrapped up and fourteen tracks are in the hopper for Catnyp IIII.

One track may be cut or just added as an instrumental — not sure yet. “The Nature of Birds” was a tricky one, a holdover from our debut that never made it over the line. I think it works as an instrumental though and it might, or might not, close out the album.

The other tracks, I am very happy with. The amazing Brian Reeves is mixing six and I am doing the rest, and hopefully we can make sure in mastering that they all knit together well and feel like items in a set.

It’s very cohesive as an album. It’s early days but I am at least as happy with the songs as my favorite album, Henderson, and maybe even more so.

Still planning the release and trying to nail down artwork, release plan and promo, etc but it’s looking like September-October. Maybe Halloween?
