The times we live in sort of demand that new songs be released in a drip-feed manner, a single every week or so that then build up to an album. I guess the good news is you get 5-10 bites at the cherry; you don’t have just one big shot (and a single or two) to get it across the line. The bad news  … the context of the album gets completely lost.

That makes me a bit sad. I like immersing myself in an album and getting into its nooks and crannies and understanding why the words in song X relate to song Y and why they are in the order they are in.
